Job Title: Graphic Designer (Part-Time) 

This is an in-office position located near downtown Eugene, ideally requiring 2-3 days a week during our standard office hours. We’re flexible and happy to accommodate your schedule. Compensation is competitive, positioned at the higher end of industry standards for Lane County, and based on hours worked.

Job Description

As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging designs that effectively communicate our brand message across various platforms. You will collaborate with marketing, production, software engineers, and other creative teams to develop innovative concepts that meet project goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Creation: Develop and produce creative designs for digital and print media, including website design and graphics, advertisements, brochures, fliers, style sheets and more. 
  • Brand Development: Maintain and enhance the brand identity by ensuring creativity, consistency in design and messaging across all materials. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions. 
  • Feedback Incorporation: Accept and integrate feedback from management to refine designs and improve overall quality. 
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Research Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovative designs to the table. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Design Software: Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools. 
  • Portfolio: A diverse portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity across various media. 
  • Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think outside the box and develop unique design concepts. 
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of ideas. 
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. 
  • Understanding of Branding: Knowledge of branding principles and the ability to apply them consistently in design work. 
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to changing project needs. 

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Education and/or four years’ professional experience in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of WordPress  
  • Experience in web design, motion graphics, or UX/UI design is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of basic web development principles.
